AI, translation and sources

1. When AI is used

• Automatic translation into preview languages.
• A source-constrained tutor that answers from excerpts supplied by the service.
• Text-to-speech and transcription for pronunciation feedback.

These functions are optional and labelled where used. Swedish and English core lessons and the question bank are not replaced by unconstrained generated answers.

2. Data sent

Translation sends the text to be translated. The tutor sends your question together with relevant source excerpts. Pronunciation feedback sends the recording you choose to make and the target text. Do not submit sensitive personal data, national identity numbers, payment details or information about migration cases. OpenAI processes API data as our provider; API content is not used for model training by default.

3. Limits and control

AI and machine translation can contain factual errors, omissions or language mistakes. The tutor is instructed to use supplied sources, show citations and say when evidence is insufficient, but an answer can still be wrong. AI features do not provide legal advice, migration advice or a guaranteed exam result. Check important information against the linked original source.

4. No high-impact decision

AI does not decide whether you obtain citizenship, pass an official exam, qualify as a student, gain account access or receive a refund. Adaptive recommendations and pronunciation scores are study aids, not formal decisions or assessments of accent, intelligence or suitability.

5. Sources and independence

Core content is based on openly identified official sources, primarily UHR’s Sverige i fokus. Each lesson and question should show the relevant source. Redo för Sverige is independent and is not operated or endorsed by UHR, the Swedish Migration Agency or Lund University.

6. Report a problem

Use the feedback control on the relevant page or contact support. Include the source and problematic wording, but do not send sensitive personal data.
